While looking for a photographer who tends to do a lot of texture shots i decided to go ahead and look for someone who does a good bit of food photography as well since my subject was food. [All 4 of my options were food. I’m a fat kid at heart.] I ran across Penny De Los Santos and was really interested in her portfolio. I ended up spending way longer than i expected just looking through her portfolio off her website. She has food prep images, finished plates of food, treats, and other interesting subjects. I looked through many images on each of the different sections and most of them showed a large amount of texture in some way or another. It is interesting to think that normally i would have looked at a picture as just food but with this assignment being texture i really paid attention to the different textures the foods presented.
