This is sweet, sweet Levi! He was born prematurely at 26 weeks. Levi’s momma, Tai, was one of the first people to talk to me in the NICU. Levi’s bed was diagonally right behind my sweet Jo. At first, it was just small talk as we would come in & out visiting our babies. As the time we went on we each checked on each other, kept up with the others progress, and became friends. When Levi was able to go home I was so excited for Tai that I could have cried, even though my sweet Jo wasn’t ready yet. You get so attached to these babies & their mommas when you spend every day for weeks around them. I can remember many nights sitting at home when I would miss Jo so bad & all I wanted to do was break down. I always thought of Tai. She was always happy, smiling, checking on everyone else, & positive no matter what the prognosis for Levi was that day. She took each day as it came & is quite possibly one of the strongest women I have ever met. Tai helped me through my time in that NICU more than she will ever understand. I am SO happy with how well Levi is doing & even happier Tai trusted me to take his 6-month photos! Is he not just the cutest little man?!
