This birthday + mommy & me session was extra special because it was for my best friend and her sweet boy, who just turned 6. I’ve had the honor of photographing him since he was a baby, and watching him grow is so bittersweet. Each year somehow gets sweeter, sillier, and more full of personality. Downtown Braselton was the perfect backdrop for these two. Their connection is so genuine — the kind of bond you don’t have to pose or force. It just is. From the way he leans into her to the way she looks at him, you can feel how deeply loved he is. The session itself was pure fun. Six-year-old energy, big smiles, a little bit of chaos, and so much joy. Exactly how it should be. And honestly? One of my favorite parts came after the session ended. Our kids ran around and played while we stood there talking, laughing, soaking in the moment, the kind of simple, perfect evening you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. This wasn’t just a photo session. It was a celebration of six years, of motherhood, of friendship, and of a bond that keeps growing stronger with time. I love these two more than I can put into words, and I’m so grateful I get to freeze these moments for them year after year. Here’s to six — and to so many more memories ahead!
