I have known Danielle for a long, long time. We used to do gymnastics at the same gym almost 10 years ago! When she contacted me about shooting her wedding I was thrilled. We chatted online for a little while about what she & Cord were wanting for their big day. We met up at Starbucks & ended up talking forever about gymnastics, coaching, school, CrossFit, weightlifting, her job, physical therapy, etc. She wanted to schedule her engagement as soon as possible because she was getting ready for a trip to Taipei. Danielle will be representing the USA for Olympic lifting. How cool is that?! All week before the shoot the weather was not looking pretty. I even texted Danielle Friday morning to let her know we might have to reschedule. She convinced me to hold out because she had a gut feeling the weather was going to turn around. I am so glad she stuck to her instincts because it turned out beautiful for their whole entire shoot. Danielle & Cord were so easy to work with. I even joked with them about how I usually spend the first 15-20 minutes teaching a few poses to help loosen couples up & they went through them in about 3 minutes flat. We shot their engagements on Cords families land & it was not only beautiful but meaningful to the two of them. I LOVE their engagement pictures & choosing just a few favorites for the blog is so hard! I know their wedding is going to be absolutely gorgeous!
