If you’re seeing these now, it is because Christmas has passed & the mother of this beautiful family has received her gift. This session was such a fun one! My friend Caley booked it as a Christmas gift for her mother-in-law, and all the kids (plus her) were in on the surprise. The plan? A beautiful family session in the field at the park — and absolutely no one could tell Mom. Of course, mamas always know when something’s up. One of the oldest kids told her she was taking the youngest kids “out to eat,” but their location was giving them away. Mom started calling over and over during the shoot, and we couldn’t stop laughing as the kids tried their best to answer without spilling the surprise. Thankfully, Dad came to the rescue and promised to keep her distracted while we wrapped things up! Between the laughter, the sneaky phone calls, and all the playful energy, this shoot turned into such a sweet memory. We got a mix of posed portraits and candid moments full of genuine smiles — the perfect gift for a mom who clearly means the world to them. Check out the picture of them on the phone with mom!
